Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Solar Central Dish Engine

Infinilec's solar electric generator is the exciting new technology at the core of the Solar Central Power Station proposal. It is sure to generate a number of burning questions in most people's minds. We have listed a few responses here but please email us with any other questions. FAQ@infinilec.com

Is this technology dangerous?

No, it's totally safe! There are no dangerous components, chemicals or technologies used in an Infinilec generator. Internal gas pressures are low and there is no danger of explosions or fires since we will use helium which is chemically inert and very safe.

Is this a photovoltaic solar cell?

Not at all. We plan to use the heat energy of sunshine to heat a sealed quantity of helium gas in the engine. This gas then becomes slightly pressurised and it is this pressure which we will use to turn the engine and generate electricity.

How cost effective is this technology?

It will be extremely cheap! The Infinilec engine features common low-tech materials with a very simple yet elegant design. It requires only the input of heat so the electricity created is very cheap after low installation costs.

How clean is an Infinilec Generator?

100% Green! There are no operating emissions of green house gases or other pollutants. There is no ongoing operating consumption of water or other resources. Helium is easily sealed within the engine because of its stability and low pressure.
